…in which “RACIST!” is the new “Heretic!”
From the new “Keeping the Dream” calendar for sale at the DNC:
Yes, it’s as breathtaking as it is erroneous, but then audacity with humility wouldn’t sell “Hope and Change” either.
I know, I know, Rutherford. “He didn’t publish the calendar. He didn’t have anything to do with it.” And he won’t say anything against it either, because he’s more than a little lost without the adoring crowds of 2008. The true believers will never abandon him, and will never understand why the rest of us are laughing at this kind of stuff.
But then, he won’t be able to see it either, so I guess it will be fitting. This is, of course, the man who once said sin is “Being out of alignment with my values.”
Building a Religion indeed.
UPDATED:
I honestly don’t know whether to laugh or cry, but it certainly isn’t defensible.
And yet I keep hearing that I’m the delusional one. Whatever.

If Rutherford had a shred of truth to him being a world class Christian bigot, he should be condemning the entire convention for producing something like this, being he hates Jesus and his followers as much as he hates Republicans.
But he won’t…because he’s also a world class hypocrite.
LOL oh Tex my friend, what did Jesus ever do to me? I don’t hate Jesus nor do I hate his followers. I think a good portion of his followers are lunatics who have ascribed characteristics to him that are preposterous and that I would bet my lunch money HE would reject. I do dislike Christians, Jews and Muslims who think they get to tell me how to live my life. I don’t want people who believe in the supernatural anywhere close to the nuclear codes. But of course we’ve had “professed” Christians with their finger on the button for decades now. So I guess I worry too much. When most sane people are faced with destruction, their apocalyptic prophecies fall by the wayside. (Talk about hypocrites. You know that if Jesus ever really does return, no one will believe him. That’s the real test of your so-called faith. Feh.)
As for the topic of the post … damn right Skippy … I don’t blame Obama for much of the content of the convention. There’s no way to herd these cats. The GOP had all sorts of sideshows that Romney might not have wanted to sign up for. In fact (GUFFAW) the GOP has a platform that Romney doesn’t want to sign up for. :lol
P.S. The poster makes no sense. Anti-birtherism combined with biblical scripture? I don’t get it.
P.P.S. It must be gratifying to you BiW that the blogger who gave this piece a “like” boasts a picture of her pointing a gun. I swear you folks are big time loony tunes!!!
