The unseriousness of how we live every other day mocks the solemnity of this one, and when I read how those who could call attention to this fact distract from it, I realize that we still have a lot of work to do.

Someone with her ties to the Muslim Brotherhood should NOT be at State, but true to form, nothing is foggy at Foggy Bottom other than what passes for thinking, as demonstrated by the apology tweets last night, before they started the journey down them memory hole. BTW, it isn’t harassment to deny someone the necessary security clearances, and it happens to people all the time who have associations with far less threatening people.

Back when the Assholes for Allah were doing what they do best in Beruit in the 1980s, they made the mistake of kidnapping a Soviet official.
The Soviets responded by grabbing ten prominent assholes for allah, and killed one, then let it be known that they’d kill one every half hour until they received their guy back. He was released before another half hour passed.
The story is instructive because it demonstrates what they respect. It isn’t dialogue. It isn’t contrition.
You want their attention? As soon as the news comes about the Embassy in Cairo being attacked, the President (a real one, not this one) does two things.
1. He allows the Marines to do what they are trained to do. That means that the first miscreant who get on the wall goes back off of it with an accute case of lead poisoning. Repeat if necessary.
2. If the Egyptians continue to fail to control themselves, and they storm the Embassy anyway, then you get with the Sec Def and the Joint Chiefs and decide which carrier group in the area will reduce a ten square block of downtown Cairo to powder. (I’d say “rubble”, but this is the turd world, and that would be threatening to do nothing.)
