And From Piece of Work In Progress, we have this disturbing video.
I have no love for the LaRouchies. I generally think of them the same way I think of Progressives and other Statists, but this did not sit well with me…a little too much “SHUT UP!” made manifest, I think.
Couple of questions. Was the gent with the sign on public or private property? If it was “private property” were the walkways/roads considered “public access”?
If it was public property or public access, I suspect there may be any number of law suits pending, especially with this having been filmed.
If it was private property, then the security agents (and a couple of fine upstanding young men they were … NOT) are at the very least using questionable tactics in the detaining of this gent. Better they should have escorted him off the premises, than to have used the restraining methods that they did. (This in and of itself may lead to legal action, again, it all being on “film”.)
And was the one asshat pushing the crowd back (Joe Ball cap) really a cop? I have my doubts, and if he wasn’t, there could be some really deep doo doo here. Isn’t that sort of thing a felony?
Looks like Chicago has arrived in Alaska. Strictly thugs in action, no sense of proportion, no sense of fair play about this at all, just overwhelming brute force by butterballs.
There was certainly a bad taste about the whole thing, and although they “won” by brute force, they also rather clearly lost in the minds of the on-lookers. All the observers could see rather clearly who the power abusers were, and we hope that they will remember this on 2 Nov.
Well a few points come to mind:
1. Fine line between free speech and disturbing the peace. I did not feel he was disturbing the peace but again I think it’s a judgment call.
2. Dude was clearly not a physical threat to anyone so why he was restrained so brutally and for so long is very questionable.
3. The biggest comment I got from that video was when someone said “where’s the media?” and the response from the camera man was something like “right here …. YouTube”. In case nobody noticed, citizen journalism is here to stay.
4. BiW, I’m sure you would have much preferred that the guys from the New Black Panther Party had been treated that way in November of 2008. 😉

Once again sure of something that isn’t true. 😉
I don’t want anyone loitering outside of polling places brandishing weapons and making racist remarks, any more than I want a large old, black veteran standing right outside my polling place wearing an
OBAMA ’08” shirt and refusing to step back to the distance from the polling place required by law (which happened at my polling place in November of ’08.)
He wasn’t there to vote, he was there to be a breathing billboard, and even Washingtonistan says you have to be so many feet away from the polling place on election day if you’re advocating for a candidate.

Department of Justice ditches red, white and blue stars and stripes
Bruce Cunningham
Well, how interesting! It seems the U.S. Department of Justice has changed its website. Gone are the colorful red, white and blue U.S. flag decorations on the page,
replaced by stark black and white.
And at the top of the page, is a rather interesting quote:
“The common law is the will of mankind, issuing from the life of the people.”
Catchy, huh? Just one tiny little (too small to be relevant obviously) point — the quote is from C. Wilfred Jenks, who in the 1930’s was a leading proponent of the “international law” movement, which had as its goal to impose a global common law and which backed ‘global workers’ rights.’
Call it Marxism, call it Progressivism, call it Socialism — under any of those names it definitely makes the DOJ look corrupt in their sleek, new black website with Marxist accessories to match.
How very interesting that ‘they’ couldn’t find a nice quote from one of our Founders. People, we have lost our Republic. We need to get it back ASAP.
See for yourself: http://www.justice.gov/
Nothing to see here either.
errr
full quote is
“The common law is derived from the will of mankind, issuing from the life of the people, framed by mutual confidence, and sanctioned by the light of reason.”
and it came with the building.

I always thought it would be a cold day in hell I would be virtual complete agreement with Rutherford (and unlike the civilized BiC, I not only wanted the Black Panthers treated this way but kicked in the balls, then head with iron boot, followed by a major beat down), but other than Rutherford’s snide comment about the feckless New Black Panthers, I agree with him.
I hate to say this, but I’m fed up with very vocal public demonstrations, mainly because I’m tired of kids being exposed to ignoramuses of the world. And I saw lots of small children there. I’m also tired of college age idiots in desperate need of a red dog getting in faces of security hiding behind ‘their rights’ when security has been thrown into a no win situation. I would have thoroughly enjoyed watching a club head hit that fat young man dancing around in the officer right in the temple. Since Daddy didn’t teach them manners, I wish the security guy would.
However unAmerican that sounds, I’m ready for a place that kids can be kids again besides Disney World, away from everyone’s agenda. And I’m tired of bad behavior passing as “rights.” Now I know this is going to piss a lot of my Conservative buddies off, but I do sympathize with security, even if I was slammed on a hot car hood one day wearing a suit, misidentified as a perpetrator of “burglary.” WTF?
Word of note – I sympathize with the LaRouche patron because I too would like Obama impeached, as that sends a tingle up my leg.

So would I but I doubt you will see it. He never intended to be a 2 termer.
(BBTV)- In August 2000, Rev. Al Sharpton organized the “Redeem the Dream” march in Washington DC commemorating the 37th anniversary of Rev. Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech. His rally included a lengthy address by New Black Panther leader Malik Zulu Shabazz filled with disturbing racism and calls to violence against whites.
“We have a black dream today of when we see caskets rolling in the black community, that we will see caskets rolling and funerals in the white community of our enemy as well today… we have a black dream.”

Coming from the “evil” Breitbart Im sure al-Faheed will defend the NBP. And of course the vile drones will ignore more racism from the left.
cracklick66
you stupid lying fucktard. do not ever infer/imply or state I support the NBP,racism or killing innocent people.
Again, I (like BiW)i feel no love toward the “La Roushies”. but assuming the fella was within his legal rights to be speaking (in a public space/venue). The thugs need to be taken out long before the overly vocal.
I even have to agree with Ruthiford, to the extent “free speech applies to all”. But the NBPs over at the polling places are not exercising free speech, they are nothing more then thugs, every bit as reprehensible as the folks who used to wear white hoods and such …. anyone see the irony here?
But we should not be too surprised, “we” elected a (Chicago) thug to the oval office, so none of this (including the DOJ “restyling”), a thug is a thug is a thug.
Are you guys finding the security guys who took the loud mouth down thugs, or the Rambo goon that was flashing his badge?
Maybe I need to watch this again…
Tex, as far as I am concerned, I would say “both”.
Notice how professional the “real” police acted when they(finally) arrived on scene. The “Rambo” striker, and “Thug1 and Thug2” needed their asses handed to them.
GuyS,
On second review, I didn’t notice fat ass pile driving the guy’s head into the ground with the elbow – yeah, that was over the top. I stand corrected.
Still, I’m sick of these political activists at places like a State Fair. To me, it’s like the Ground Zero Mosque. It’s not a matter of is it their right – it is. It’s whether it’s necessary and appropriate – it’s not.
Obama Said The Surge Would Actually Worsen Sectarian Violence
Oh. Sorry. This is what President Bongo said when it really mattered and not tonight – I refused to listen to the speech this evening, because like MaDonna, when NObama comes on, I go off – or out.
I heard through the grapevine it was another epic failure and groveling spiel of his brilliance defending Bombanomics. 🙂
As long as “highly vocal ranter” is not following anyone (in particular, or in a group) around, verbally “harassing” them, (again, assuming he is in a “public place”) then he has as much right to be there. Don’t forget that video be it from YouTube or any of the media outlets, tends to give us just a “slice” of the “real world”, from the camera’s point of view. This is used to great effect during storms or other calamities. Sometimes the picture being painted, is not nearly as severe, or may be much worse then what we are seeing. So it is the same with this, as far as the number of people witnessing or being effected by it. Chances are, 20 feet away from this guy, and you would have not even noticed he was there. (at least before the thugs and rambo arrived).
Maybe, but your hearing would have to have been near deafness if his screaming about “his rights” was any indicator of what precipitated the take down.
It is a shame that we can’t fairly judge what was going on before the police intervened. If Mr. LaRouche Jr. was simply standing there holding the sign, I would dismiss him as a goof and probably not noticed much else, never voicing a complaint. But my personal experience has been these “protestors” are anything but quiet and generally make a show of their protest. And I would wager the old fart clearly meant to be provocative beyond his protest. Add to the fact, you can’t even attend a fair anymore without politics, and I am granting less sympathy to public personal agendas than I used to, no matter the politics.
Again, I’m not disagreeing with your assessment and I’m not a big fan of many police in general, generally recognizing them as a necessary evil and all too often legalized bullies. But I do sympathize in today’s times, when legal security find themselves in a situation greatly outnumbered and used to dealing daily with the scum. I’m not sure that we haven’t put many of them in an unmanageable and unwinnable situation, and I find myself asking what I would do.
I don’t deal well with people screaming insults in my face, and my first instinct is to put the screamer’s teeth in the back of this throat. Probably good thing I’m not a policeman. 🙂
“I don’t deal well with people screaming insults in my face, and my first instinct is to put the screamer’s teeth in the back of this throat. Probably good thing I’m not a policeman.”
Exactly.
An piece from the local paper

It isn’t public property, the guy did forfeit some rights with his speech. i will say one thing though. Fat ass security guards with questionable training should not be allowed to take folks down, especially ones with questionable physical/mental status. I also have to chime in that the off duty Alaska State Trooper badge flasher is a real tool. I hope the old guy names that pos in his lawsuit.
I have spent a fair amount of time working in security positions and from my perspective the two goons involved went about things exactly the wrong way – the resounding image was two fat thugs manhandling an old guy with a crutch. And if the “trooper” intended to defuse the situation, he failed from the word go.
If we are going to stand by the concept of free speech, it must apply to all. Providing, of course, that there are no attacks or threats (implied or otherwise) employed.
This is certainly a poor reflection on whoever organized this event, whatever it was intended to be.
