The punishment which the wise suffer who refuse to take part in the government, is to live under the government of worse men.

One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.

Unbelievable.
The Chronicles of Narnia? Is that what this stupid, pencil necked SOB thinks best represent the incredible brilliance of C.S. Lewis? Lunkhead doesn’t do justice BIC.
For any deviants from Left who happen to read this and are as inane is this poor, dumb bastard, Lewis was perhaps the most brilliant philosopher of the entire 20th Century.
To equate the Chronicles of Narnia to the brilliance of C.S. Lewis is comparable to equating Barack Obama’s “Of Thee I Sing: A Letter to My Daughters” as Obama’s highest achievement.
You lefties in America like Chris Matthews and whatever that 97 lbs. weakling wienie with him are the absolute dumbest people on earth. I’m glad you’re around Progressive MSNBC watchers, because I take great delight in pointing fingers at you and laughing at your stupidity every day of my life.
Doggone it! Tex is holding back! I can tell!
For those not aware of C.S. Lewis:

From Patrick’s link (your comment was amusing by the way; guess I did get a little overjoyed at pointing to the most obvious),
Lewis argued that “Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and, if true, of infinite importance. The one thing it cannot be is moderately important.” Whether in the realm of reason or imagination, in personal or public life, Lewis maintained, “I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen-not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.”
Those two statements exemplify why Lewis was both simplistic in explanation and incredibly brilliant, and exactly why the neopagans of progressivism will never understand just how foolish they are.
It happens when you can’t see the forest for the trees.
Perzactly Tex! Add to that the fact that he was in the land of the Druids? Where non Christian symbolism exist to this very day, everywhere if one only knows where to look?
The simplicity of it reminds me of a former Presidents words, T. Roosevelt I think it was; Anyways he was asked how long it would take to make a two minute speech. (My times may be off.) He replied something like a month. Then he was asked about a five minute speech. He replied three weeks, and the question line continued until he was asked about a two hour speech. He replied that it was ready…
Sometimes perhaps one needs look at each tree in order to properly appreciate the forest.
They are so blood thirsty to intellectually stab Palin to death, they accidentally stab themselves in an orgy of their own blood lust.
I swear I saw an evil in Mathews in that clip, a certain kind of froth one works up when emotion has won the day.
Between this dope and Liam Nieson’s idiotic remarks last week, I imagine Screwtape and Wormwood have been having a right good laugh.
You know it BIC. No need to bring out the big dog when the legends of minions will do the trick.
Discussions even remotely related to anything of Christianity bring out the most flagrant and humorous violations of stupidity with the lefty rubes.
Been a long time since I read The Screwtape Letters.
I do remember any author capable of being that twisted and still true, had to be brilliant.
And of “The Toast?”
I want to cry… simply want to cry.
What a dope. A mean and nasty dope.
