Maybe they need to stop the inefficient process of using food for fuel then, huh?

- "I want these “…and I’m a communist” dumbshits to have a Coming to Jesus moment that they will NEVER forget. I want them staring in to the eyes of every American who knows that government has very specifically designated roles, and are fed-up to their eyeballs with the overeaching, paternalistic, oppressive monster that the Left (with help from the establishment Right) set loose on us. I want those greedy, lazy, control-freaky bastards quaking with fear when they are met with an electorate determined to wrest their liberties, including the right to fail, back from a government that would enslave us all to the service of a soul-killing mediocrity. I want their asses so horrifiyingly and memorably whipped that the mere memory will cow a century’s worth of socialist/communist/marxist acoyltes into an ashamed silence." ________________________________ "When a strict interpretation of the Constitution, according to the fixed rules which govern the interpretation of laws, is abandoned, and the theoretical opinions of individuals are allowed to control its meaning, we no longer have a Constitution, we are under the government of individual men, who for the time being have power to declare what the Constitution is according to their own views of what it ought to mean."--Justice Curtis, Dissent, Dred Scott v. Sanford
- "The very idea of power, and the right of the people to establish government, presupposes the duty of every individual to obey the established Government. All obstructions to the execution of its laws, all combinations and associations, under whatever plausible character, with the real design to direct, control, counteract, or awe the regular deliberations and actions of the constituted authorities, are destructive of this fundamental principle, and of fatal tendency."- George Washington

We need to develop a situation in which every nation feeds itself, rather than depending up others for its food. If it its population outruns its food supply, it will have to see its population shrink through starvation rather than expect the rest of the world to feed it. Every nation must be self-sufficient through their own efforts.
This sounds harsh, but the idea of food aid has proven catastrophic in that it has encouraged population growth in many areas even while there is no hope of feeding those people, simply because they have been fed and reproduce at rates exceeding the ability of nature to sustain them. Ethiopia is a prime example, going from 40 million to 87 million in about 40 years time.
Where man will not exercise self-restraint in terms of reproduction, then nature in terms of war and famine must do if for him. This was ordained by God at creation.
When elites/gubmints think it is their job to feed anyone, they also think it their job to control/delete the anyones for the good of Gaia/the state.
Your point is well taken… Around at least 50 years ago it was reported that using farm foodstuff for fuel was not a sound way of dealing with the energy issue, but old ideas that have been discredited have a way of being resurrected by some…
I also agree with comments of Father D… It seems the more one gives food aid, the less the chance in general that the recipients will work to become self sufficient. In fact, they will become dependent on the food assistance and personal and national initiative will suffer.
Even farmers in those countries receiving aid who want to work their lands and produce an abundance of food find that it is not cost effective for them to till their lands because they are competing against the free food handed out — thus, the market price for their produce is so low that they cannot make a living after backbreaking work… So eventually they stop tilling.
A few points:
1. I don’t believe anything that the United Nations says, including the ands, ifs, and buts.
2. The Maltheuses of the world have been prophesizing this for the last 150 years, and it hasn’t happened yet.
3. Every famine in the world in the last 200 years were political in nature, not because someone didn’t grow or have enough food.
4. Using grains as a fuel is really stupid.
Fuel programs are indeed foolish especially the ones that take away land for inedible crops such as saw grass for fuel production. It is also absolutely criminal how sugar and corn for fuel is 1 not cost efficient and 2 cripples poor folks ability to access staples.
In closing the only other thing I’d add is that the locales where pops are going up are also the areas where armed strife and mass killings are most likely to rear their heads.
Undoubtedly, somebody is really bad at math, or I’m misunderstanding this man’s extrapolation concerns.
He’s going to have to show me how he derived this figure.
It’s estimated that approximately 4% of the people born since the dawn of agricultural age (7000 – 8000 B.C.) are alive at present…
Politicians (from both sides) for the grain-growing states will continue to arrange for subsidies for ethanol to reward the “natural fuel” industry for its contributions to their campaign funds. It is self-evident by now that alternative energy sources have been hyped and subsidized beyond reason and are not a cost effective nor environmentally-friendly substitute for carbons. Most of the ethanol grain is produced by the huge corporate farm structures, not family-owned farms (which, through government intervention and over-regulation have nearly vanished) and therein lies the reason why so much time, energy and money is devoted to a product that is expensive and harmful to most engines.
Yep, it is all politics and to hell with the good of the general population when the Ruling Classes can continue to profit through endemic corruption.
Wow! Ya think?
I could go for a solid case of the Black Plague.
Without rancor I submit this:
http://www.census.gov/population/www/pop-profile/natproj.html
European statistics are similar. (They lead us by about 20 years)
By 2050 with lack of innovation, restraint and thinking Leadership…. Dick may possibly get his wish.
Third World Nations are never at the forefront of innovation.
I could go for a solid case of the Black Plague.
Disease is too random. Odds are high that it would kill too many of the wrong people, IYKWIMAITTYD.
There ya go with the “Black Plague” again…what is it with you white racists? We should be callen it the “White(mans) Plague”.
Sure, Western civilization (and by extension, “the white man”) have singlehandedly fed, medicated, and through their countless inventions and discoveries, made life easier for those who are not White, but that’s not the point!
The point is western man has all the good toys, neet gadgets, hot women, most of the five star hotels, and always gets the best parking spots. This has got to stop.
And one way of doing it is by creating guilt. In this case, it is the guilt of the Western Civilized nations (the haves) being the ones who raped the earth, and exploited the brothers out there, to get where they are now. One way to assuage that guilt, is by finding “renewable sources of energy” (in this case bio-fuels) which will prevent Western man from sticking his shaft into the earth in order to draw out her “black gold”.
Sheesh, enough of that! PT Barnum could not have been more correct in his assessment of human nature if he tried. There is indeed, “a sucker born every minute”. Most, if not all are eco-nuts, libtard-progressives, anti-American tools, government workers/office holders, or all the above. No sane, rational, reasoning person would buy into the grain for fuels scam.
Except for some politicians and the people who keep electing them.
Okay then, how ’bout a scorching case of chicken pox?
